Support
Support and contact.
PackQR is available on the App Store. Support can help with the app, website, downloadable resources, privacy questions and product information.
Two-device collaboration support
Keep Wi-Fi on while the two devices connect.
PackQR 1.8 does not require both devices to join the same Wi-Fi network. For Share project / Join, Wi-Fi should be enabled and the devices must stay nearby until the initial collaboration copy is confirmed. A direct Receive changes / Return changes transfer also needs nearby devices. If the Contributor is elsewhere, they can instead share the encrypted PackQR handoff file back to the Master—for example by email.
If the Master is found but a direct connection does not complete, turn Wi-Fi on if needed and use the in-app retry action. AirDrop is optional and no PackQR account is required. For a remote return, confirm that the Contributor successfully created the encrypted handoff file and that the Master can open the received attachment in PackQR. If a problem persists, include the device models, iOS/iPadOS versions, which side was Master/Contributor, the return method used, and the exact message shown.
Sensitive Box support
App Lock and Sensitive-box locking are separate.
With App Lock off, returning to PackQR should not automatically ask for Face ID just because a Sensitive box was previously open. Sensitive boxes stay locked until you deliberately reveal them. The Home Sensitive boxes switch can lock them again immediately while ordinary packing remains available.
If authentication repeatedly fails, confirm Face ID/Touch ID works normally on the device, avoid covering the TrueDepth/Touch ID sensor, and include the device model, iOS/iPadOS version and exact screen when contacting support. Please do not send private box contents.
Seeing “PackQR found a previous inventory”?
PackQR 1.8 shows this recovery screen only when it has evidence of an earlier local inventory but cannot find the protected private store. Check again is non-destructive. Start fresh on this device is explicit and should be used only when you intend to create a new local inventory. If you have a PackQR backup, keep it safe and restore it through Settings > Backup & Restore after creating a usable local inventory.
Voice input support
Voice works only when on-device recognition is available.
If voice input does not start, confirm Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions, check that English (UK) or English (US) is selected in PackQR Settings, and try again. PackQR does not deliberately fall back to online speech recognition. When reporting a problem, include the device model, iOS version, selected voice locale and the exact screen where the issue occurred; avoid sending private spoken contents unless necessary.
AI Pack Scan support
Recognition is a helpful shortcut, not a guarantee.
PackQR will not recognise every item. When reporting a result, include the suggested name, the name you expected, device model, iOS version and a description of the lighting, angle and background. Avoid sending private household photographs unless they are necessary and you are comfortable sharing them.
Move Planner is now available
PackQR 1.8 continues to offer optional private Move Planner sharing.
Download Move Planner by PackQR free on the App Store. PackQR Settings reports whether Move Planner is detected on this device.
Sharing remains off by default. When both apps opt in, PackQR prepares a private aggregate summary on the device, but sends nothing to a server. Item names, notes, photographs, QR information and backup contents are never shared.
