Print a privacy-safe label
Generate an A4, US Letter or native 4 × 6 label with the box number, room, QR code and useful moving-day flags—without a public contents list. A4 and US Letter support 1-up, 2-up and 4-up sheet layouts.

Scan the label in PackQR or search by item, box, room or notes when you need something after arrival.

Back up manually
Export a compatible plain backup or protect the copy with a user-supplied backup code. Restore validates the file before replacing current local data.

PackQR follows the iPhone or iPad appearance and now provides a carefully refined dark interface. For labels, choose A4 or US Letter sheet layouts, or generate a true 4 × 6-inch PDF for a native label printer. Private contents lists can be printed on A4 or US Letter.

What the QR code does
A shortcut to a local box record—not a public inventory.
The current PackQR design does not print or encode item names, notes or photos in the QR code. Scanning the label through the installed app opens the matching box record stored on the device.

Basements, storage units, empty properties and busy moving days are not always reliable places for Wi-Fi. PackQR is designed so the main box workflow remains usable without a network connection after installation.
Move Planner availability
PackQR 1.2 can detect the separate Move Planner app and offer private on-device sharing.
Move Planner is currently completing App Store review and may not yet be available in your region. PackQR reports whether Move Planner is detected on this device. Share packing progress with Move Planner remains off by default; when enabled, it prepares a private aggregate summary that Move Planner must be installed to read.

Contextual handoffs
When Move Planner is installed, validated local routes can open PackQR at Home or Rooms, a preselected New Box flow, Open First, Backup, Move Day scanning or unpacking.

The summary can contain total boxes, unpacked and Open First counts, aggregate room counts, the latest backup date and update time.

Item names, notes, photographs, QR information, searches and backup contents are never included in the shared summary.

Off by default
PackQR remains fully usable without Move Planner. Turning sharing off removes the private summary from the shared on-device container.
Detection note: detecting Move Planner does not enable sharing automatically. The setting remains your choice, and the summary never leaves the device through PackQR.

What is PackQR for?

Are the contents stored inside the QR code?
No. Item names, notes and photos are not printed or encoded in the QR code. The label connects the installed PackQR app to the corresponding local box record.
