PackQR in one plain-English paragraph.

PackQR is a private, local-first moving box scanner for iPhone and iPad, available on the App Store.

The £1.99 one-time-purchase app is available for iPhone and iPad. Version 1.8 adds optional estimated replacement values, a focused Review values workflow, one persisted project currency and privacy-aware PDF/CSV contents reporting while retaining Sensitive Boxes, selective two-person collaboration with nearby setup and encrypted remote return, local-first storage, on-device voice and AI Pack Scan, private QR labels and manual backups.

PackQR 1.8 brings private two-device packing, Sensitive Boxes, optional replacement values and safer local continuity into one release.

The release combines QR-paired Master/Contributor collaboration—nearby for the initial handoff, with encrypted remote return available afterwards—with device-authenticated Sensitive Boxes, coverage-aware replacement-value reporting and a fail-closed safeguard that stops PackQR silently creating an empty replacement if a previously known local inventory unexpectedly disappears.

Boilerplate

PackQR helps people moving house pack, label, collaborate and find boxes without turning their home contents into a hosted database, ad-supported workflow or subscription product. The iPhone and iPad app lets users create boxes, pair a second nearby PackQR device for a deliberate Master + Contributor workflow, let that Contributor continue packing elsewhere and return an encrypted handoff file remotely, add contents by keyboard or on-device voice, use AI Pack Scan for visible objects, attach photos, print privacy-safe QR labels, and later search or scan offline.
